Who we are

Bield is the trading name of Bield Ltd, registered in Scotland, company number SC905724. Our registered office is shown at the foot of every page. We are the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, email getintouch@bieldai.com.

What we collect

When you use our contact form or email us, we collect your name, role, company, email address and phone number, which AI platforms you use or want to use, and anything you choose to tell us about your reasons. Please don't send us sensitive personal information, such as health details.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, so the site stays secure and working. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and to discuss working together. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We use server logs to keep the site secure, on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting it.

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host and contact form provider (Netlify) and our email provider. They act on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. We never sell your information.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your information leaves the UK, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

If your enquiry does not lead to work together, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. If we do work together, we keep records for as long as our contract and the law require, including for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also ask us to send it to you or someone else in a common format. Email getintouch@bieldai.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
