We start with the chief executive, or a sponsor they appoint, and agree the problems worth solving. We choose one, and build the Bield Council around it to test every decision along the way. At the same time, we set the ground rules for AI use and give your team one safe, approved tool to learn on.
The Bield Council is an AI advisory panel of seven voices, built around your key project, that tests each decision before you make it. It does not solve the problem on its own; the project and the data work do that.
The answers you get are only as good as the data behind them, so we bring your data in securely and in a structured way, and prove it on safe test data first.
When the key project has proved its value, the structure is in place for you to move confidently and securely to wider adoption, choosing your next AI tools, agents and platforms on evidence, not on a sales pitch.
Stage 00
Discover
Three days, fixed price. We work with your chief executive, or a sponsor they appoint, to agree three to five problems worth solving and map the data behind them, then choose the one project to start with.
Stage 01
Deploy
You buy and own your licences. We set up your Claude or Copilot environment, the Bield Council and the ground rules. Once they are agreed, your team gets one approved tool to learn on, and we check who can see what before any real data goes in.
Stage 02
Pilot
We prove the key project on safe test data first, then on your real data, with a small group using it every week.
Stage 03
Scale
The approach rolls out across the business, and each new AI tool, agent or platform is chosen on the evidence from the pilot.
Why Bield
I've spent 30 years in technology, most of them running IT services for Scottish businesses, the last 13 as chief executive of a managed service provider. I've seen what happens when a new technology arrives faster than the rules to govern it, because I've been the one cleaning up after it.
I run Bield on AI every day and work with organisations looking to adopt and use it, so what I set up for you has already been tested in practice.
I sit on the board of Opportunity North East, chair ONE Digital Tech, its digital and technology board, and mentor growing businesses through its programmes. I'm also on the board of Robert Gordon's College Trading Company, a former Chair of ScotlandIS, and a graduate of MIT Sloan's Entrepreneurship Development Program.
